Who We Are

Mad River Air, LLC has been in business for eight years. Many pilots who have trained with us have become airline pilots and Air Force, Navy, and Marine pilots. We have also trained pilots who are now flying for the National Guard and State Highway Patrol. As students further their training, they have the opportunity to work for Mad River Air as a CFI or charter pilot in order to build time towards their future goals in aviation.

We are located at the Urbana Grimes Municipal Airport; named after Warren Grimes, the father of aircraft lighting. The airport is also located in the National Aviation Heritage Area.

Aaron Coleman has been flight instructing since 2004 and flying as a charter pilot since 2006. He started training in 1998.
